Sora

First Appearance: Kingdom Hearts(2002)
Age: 15

Backstory:

Where the Heart Goes 01 KHBBS by JJSliderman
  • Sora was once an ordinary child living on the Destiny Islands with his friends, Kairi, Riku, Wakka, Tidus, and Selphie. They were all content, but Riku, Kairi, and Sora all wanted to see the world outside of the Islands. So they planned to build a raft, and gathered the necessary supplies.
  • Long before, they had been visited by a woman named Aqua, who had gifted Sora with the ability to use the Keyblade.
  • The night they had finished, a storm appeared on the islands, and Sora was worried about the raft. So he took his personal boat to the island while his mom called him to dinner(BTW, this is the only appearance of Sora's mom in the series)
  • When Sora got to the island, he witnessed with horror that there were shadowy creatures infesting the place. These creatures were known as Heartless, zombie like monsters that would swallow a world's heart and leave it as an empty shell. Sora went to find Riku, only to see him disappear into the darkness after failing to save him. However, in his place Sora received the Keyblade, a weapon able to destroy the Heartless. He went to the secret place within the island that he and his friends visited a lot, only to find Kairi. However, she passed right through him, and the door inside the secret place opened, sucking Sora in and placing him on top of the Islands being destroyed. At that point, a giant monster known as Darkside appeared and tried to kill Sora, but Sora retaliated and won against it before being sucked in to a wormhole in the sky.
  • He ended up in Traverse Town, the place where people go when their world is destroyed. As he was looking around, Sora met a man named Leon, who manages to best him and takes him to the hotel, explaining that Sora has been chosen by the Keyblade to destroy the Heartless and save all the worlds. Sora is initially confused, but eventually decides to go along with it, and escapes. Eventually Sora ends up in the Third District, where he ends up crushed by Donald and Goofy, who had been sent by the then missing King Mickey to find the Keyblade Wielder and help him. Together, the trio managed to defeat all the Heartless present, including the powerful Guard Armor, and save Traverse Town.
  • Leon, as well as his partners Yuffie and Aerith, arrive to see the day has been saved and congratulate Sora. Donald and Goofy say that they need Sora to come with them to save the day, and after some encouragement from Leon, Sora decides to go. Unbeknownst to him, Donald and Goofy are just using him to find the King, but eventually they form a truly strong bond.
  • Thus, Sora, Donald and Goofy go on many adventures all throughout the worlds of famous Disney properties, all while the villainous Disney syndicate watches over them and plans to take over all the worlds by capturing the 7 Princesses of Heart to open the Keyhole in Hollow Bastion and unlock ultimate power. The syndicate, however, is defeated one by one, including its leader, Maleficent, by Sora, Donald and Goofy. However, throughout the game, Maleficent had been turning Riku into a puppet of darkness due to Sora supposedly replacing Riku with Donald and Goofy, even though that was far from true and Sora had actually been looking for Riku and Kairi the whole time. However, Kairi had actually been with Riku all along, but had lost her heart and was now nothing more than a hollow shell.
  • When Sora, Donald and Goofy finally arrive at Hollow Bastion, Riku reveals that he was always the intended bearer of the Keyblade, and demonstrates by stealing it from Sora, thus forcing Donald and Goofy to abandon Sora and follow Riku per their instructions from the King. Sora eventually makes it to the great hall and confronts Riku, telling him his heart may be weak on its own, but with friends it can stand up to anything. At this time, the Keyblade reunites with Sora, and Donald and Goofy along with it, and together they defeat Riku, who retreats.
  • Sora makes it to the top of Hollow Bastion and finds Riku, now fused with another entity called Ansem, Seeker of Darkness. Sora manages to defeat Riku-Ansem, who disappears, leaving behind his keyblade, which Sora uses to unlock his own heart, which actually had Kairi's heart within all along. Kairi is revived, but Sora is turned into a heartless for all of two minutes as Riku's inner self manifests and stalls Ansem long enough for Kairi, Donald and Goofy to escape. Sora meets up with them in the great hall and is returned to normal. Later, Sora, Donald and Goofy return to seal Hollow Bastion's keyhole, and then journey to the End of the World, where they manage to defeat Ansem, Seeker of Darkness seemingly for good, and close the door to Kingdom Hearts he was trying to unlock, leaving Riku and a newly found King Mickey behind the door. Sora is safe, but has no way to get home, so he and his partners follow the road to Castle Oblivion, one of the HQs of sorts for the newly introduced Organization 13, black coat wearing Nobodies(Bodies without hearts that seek hearts) looking to recreate Kingdom Hearts so they can get hearts.
  • Sora finds a black hooded man who gives him a deck of cards, saying that all of Sora's actions are dictated by them. So Sora travels through the floors of the castle, which actually takes Sora's memories and manifests them as the different places he traveled to, plus Twilight Town(since Roxas, Sora's nobody created when he became a Heartless, went there), and Castle Oblivion itself, fighting and defeating the organization members Larxene, Vexen, and the castle master Marluxia. Then, in order to get back to his world, Sora had to go to sleep along with Donald and Goofy and forget his time at Castle Oblivion, including his meeting with Namine, a nobody of Kairi who had helped Sora through the castle. Sora accepted and slept for 1 year, while the events of 358/2 Days and the prologue of KH2 happened, leading to Sora finally waking up after Roxas opened his pod.
  • Sora went into town and found Roxas's friends in the simulated Twilight Town, Hayner, Pence, and Olette, who pointed him to the train station, where he rode to Yen Sid's tower and spoke with him, and learned of the identity of the Nobodies, and his goal, along with receiving some new clothes allowing him to use the Drive Forms
  • So Sora went on even more adventures with Donald and Goofy through the different Disney worlds and defeating the antagonist of each movie in each world minus Beast's Castle, along with stopping Pete, Maleficent's flunky, while meeting some of the Organization members and looking for Riku and Kairi. Eventually Sora went back to Hollow Bastion and fought off 1000 Heartless, after which he met Xemnas, leader of the organization who told Sora that by destroying Heartless with the Keyblade, he was actually helping to construct the Organization's artificial KH, demoralizing Sora as he didn't know how he could fight without helping the Organization, but Mickey, Donald and Goofy encouraged Sora to keep fighting anyway.
  • They then got reports of Heartless attacking all the worlds, so they went back and destroyed them all before finally opening the path to Twilight Town. Once there, they used the digitization technology to go to the simulated Twilight Town and enter the portal to the World that Never Was, the Organization's true home base. However, before they could get there, they were beset by a bunch of nobodies, but were helped by Axel, one of the Organization members, who sacrificed himself to destroy them all.
  • Sora, Donald and Goofy made it to the castle, where they climbed it and defeated the remaining Organization members one by one, reuniting with Kairi and Riku(who had been altered due to events in 358/2 Days), until they reached the top and found Xemnas. Sora seemingly defeated him, and a portal was opened back to the Islands by Namine, who finally reunited with her other half along with Roxas, but then the portal was closed by Xemnas before Sora and Riku could get through, so they hopped on a glider and engaged with Xemnas in a final battle, finally managing to kill him at last. However, Riku and Sora were stuck in the Realm of Darkness, so they decided to remain there to die. Then a letter from Kairi washed up on the beach, telling them to be strong and opening a portal back to the Islands, allowing Sora and Riku to get through, where they were finally at home.
  • That is, until they got a letter from King Mickey(written at the end of Re:coded), that told Sora and Riku it was time to take their Mark of Mastery exam to become Keyblade Masters.
  • In order for Sora and Riku to pass their exam, they were required to go and defeat all the Dream Eaters present in the worlds. So they did just that, traveling all over and encountering some strange figures like a strange dark skinned man in a black cloak and silver hair, revealed to be Young Xehanort. Until they finally arrived at the World that Never Was once more, only to get...well, exposition doesn't even begin to describe this clusterfuck.
  • So, apparently Sora was actually sleeping the whole time and all of his different adventures in the worlds were his dreams, and Riku was actually going through those dreams in a different perspective. Also, apparently the members of the Organization were all meant to be different vessels of Xehanort's spirit that would allow the original Xehanort to reincarnate, and Sora is meant to be the 13th vessel, and he also brings back Ansem, Seeker of Darkness and Xemnas to fulfill that purpose, and Young Xehanort was the one bringing that task to fruition after his older self gave him the power of time travel. Yeah...it's a mindfuck
  • But Riku manages to save Sora after fighting one of the most bullshit, unfair bosses in video games, but Sora does not receive his Mark of Mastery, while Riku does. Not that it matters since Sora is going to be a Keyblade Master in 3 anyway. Sora then departs at the end to thank all of his Dream Eater companions and prepare for the epic final showdown with Xehanort and the other vessels, while Lea and Kairi are revealed to be training as Keyblade wielders.

Feats(Will Include Feats for Roxas):

Sora Kingdom Hearts By Thuddleston-dapos84 by JJSliderman
  • Defeated Cerberus with help from Donald and Goofy, who was able to knock out Cloud Strife
  • Defeated Oogie Boogie in his large building size manor form by hitting its weak spots with help from Donald and Goofy.
  • Defeated the City Block Sized Giant Ursula who had acquired the power of King Triton's trident, giving her enough power to potentially destroy the Atlantica world. As shown by the cutscene in Traverse Town, "worlds" could be anything from large planets to stars, as Goofy says "Look! A star's going out!" when Destiny Islands is destroyed.
  • Defeated Darkside...who may or may not have been responsible for the destruction of Destiny Islands along with the other Heartless
  • Defeated Genie Jafar, who had "Phenomenal Cosmic Powers" and stated that he could control the entire universe if he chose. It is debatable how true this is, but Genie Jar is capable of picking up and throwing enormous balls of lava with ease and levitating entire sections of Agrabah with just his mental powers
  • Defeated Riku powered by Maleficent's dark energy with help from Donald and Goofy. Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty could create city sized AOE storms, but in KH she's on par with Sora in the first game.
  • Defeated Maleficent in her dragon form, her most powerful transformation
  • Defeated Riku-Ansem, a Riku who was fueled by Ansem's ultimate darkness and stronger than Riku powered by Maleficent's energy
  • Defeated Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, who was able to create an entire illusion realm in the likeness of Destiny Islands and should be superior to the Heartless like Darkside who are powerful enough to potentially destroy KH worlds, with the help of Donald and Goofy. This also included destroying the city block size World of Chaos battleship
  • Defeated a whole slew of Disney bad guys, like Genie Jafar, who in the movie stated he could control and command the entire universe. Considering that the freed blue genie was capable of growing to SS size and spinning the planet on his finger, when he is much weaker than Genie Jafar, he may have been serious
  • Defeated a Chinese Dragon Heartless with help from Donald and Goofy that was big and powerful enough to potentially destroy the city block sized Chinese Palace of Mulan
  • Defeated Sephiroth. He may be featless, but he fought Cloud to a standstill, and Cloud was capable of easily besting many Heartless.
  • Defeated the Greek Hydra with help from Donald and Goofy, which was able to destroy the entirety of the Olympus Colosseum. If one were to compare it to the colosseum in Rome, that colosseum is 157 feet high, 6 acres in area(2 and 2/3 the size of an average city block), and should require about 113 tons of TNT to destroy assuming that the Colosseum is the size of 2.66 average city blocks, putting it as an MCB feat
  • Defeated the Groundshaker Heartless that was about as big as Pride Rock with help from Simba
  • Defeated 1000 Heartless alone.
  • Defeated Luxord and Saix by himself, and Saix was the second in command of the Organization and one of its most powerful members. Also defeated Xigbar with help from Donald and Goofy, another powerful Organization members. How strong the Organization members are are unknown, but they are all vastly superior to Heartless like Darkside who can destroy KH worlds.
  • Defeated Twilight Xemnas with Riku. Twilight Xemnas had fused with Kingdom Hearts, and Kingdom Hearts is said to be capable of recreating many destroyed worlds, making it potentially above the star level range and maybe into Multi-Star to Solar System level range depending on if it means at once or one at a time
  • Defeated Marluxia, the master of Castle Oblivion and one of the strongest Organization 13 Members, as well as two other Organization members in Larxene and Vexen...kinda. Axel sorta finishes Vexen off for Sora.
  • Defeated Xemnas by himself. However, Xemnas clearly was holding back in some capacity, and it wasn't Twilight Xemnas
  • Became a Keyblade Master on his own
  • Defeated Hades, the Rock Titan, and the Ice Titan, who should be somewhat comparable to Disney Zeus, who was able to effortlessly rearrange hundreds of stars
  • Defeated Xion.
  • Defeated Xehanort with the full power of Kingdom Hearts, which could recreate at least 39 different solar systems.

Physicality:

Strength:

Kingdom-hearts-ii-20050730034702067 by JJSliderman

  • Able to Defeat Guard Armor, a giant metal suit of armor at least 4 times the size of Sora, as well as its stronger counterpart Opposite Armor, with help
  • Matched Hercules, who flung the Rock Titan into the sky in seconds, a solid city level feat.
  • Able to shatter the magical barrier created by Jafar surrounding his lamp, although part of that may be due to the mystical nature of the Keyblade
  • With the help of Riku, Donald, and Goofy, closed the massive door to Kingdom Hearts that was at least 20 times the size of Sora and 8 times his width
  • Able to wield Marluxia's Scythe, Graceful Deliah, that is about as big as himself as well as the Keyblade
  • Was able to overpower the Groundshaker Heartless
  • Able to swing a giant chandelier with just his arms fast enough that when it slams into a boss Heartless, it stuns it for about 10-12 seconds
  • Able to overpower the strength of a thousand heartless

  • Able to overpower the Grim Reaper Heartless and stun him for about 8-10 seconds by throwing its scythe at it

  • Able to take away half of First form Xemnas's vitality by giving him a few good keyblade smacks
  • Can slice at least 5 buildings into ribbons with just a couple of slashes
  • Matched and Overpowered Twilight Xemnas with help from Riku
  • Defeated Regular Xemnas who can toss 30 foot buildings around like nobody's business
Speed:

BgyLqhyh by JJSliderman
  • Fought the Lingering Will and kept pace with him and could dodge his attacks. Lingering Will should be superior to Terra, who kept up with Xehanort(who casually reacted to and blocked Ventus's attacks. Ventus is known as one of the fastest characters in the series) and fought/kept pace with Monstro, who outpaced the Highwind in KH1, which could travel between world in a couple minutes. If each world is a star, it's possible each world existed in a different solar system, leading to MFTL+ travel
  • Dodges Sephiroth's potential lightspeed sword swings
  • Is 1000 times the speed of light
  • The Gummi Ship is capable of MFTL travel via traveling between worlds in a short time frame of about 2 minutes at most, and Sora should have that level of reaction speed considering he is able to dodge the obstacles in his way
  • Sora was able to dodge Larxene's attacks, which are lightning based and are probably actual lightning given Sora has evidence to support he can move at those speeds
  • Can cut through five buildings in an FTE motion
  • Can dodge the fireballs from Cerberus's mouth and the eye laser shots from the Stealth Sneak
  • Can dodge Ursula's electricity
  • Can dodge Maleficent's summoned meteors. Average meters can reach speeds of about 71 km/s, or 158822 miles per hour
  • Dodges lasers from Surveillance Robot Heartless
  • Can Blitz Samurai Heartless that can move at FTE speeds using the "The End" reaction command
  • Kept pace with end game Xemnas, who as the head of the Organization should be far superior in stats to Monstro, also redirected a barrage of about 100+ lasers with help from Riku.
  • Dodged Xemnas throwing buildings at him in DDD
  • Dodged Spellican's lasers.
Durability:

Maxresdefault by JJSliderman
  • Tanked fire attacks from Hades, Ice Attacks from the Ice Titan, and being crushed by the Rock Titan.
  • Tanked Maleficent's fire, Dragon Fire, and Meteors
  • Tanked attacks from Ansem and the World of Chaos
  • Tanked Lightning from Larxene and being cut with the Graceful Deliah by Marluxia
  • Tanked being hit by a full power Xemnas, Multi-Star level power and all
  • Can get hit by the giant Groundshaker and barely be fazed.
  • Can be hit by buildings and shrug it off
  • Can get groped by Holey Moley and not...be disturbed.
  • Can get hit with lasers all the time and just shake it off

Limits are special attacks Sora can unleash with the help of others. This is technically outside help though, so keep that in mind. Also requires Sora to sacrifice one or two of his party members. Since Sora is most likely going to be with Donald and Goofy when he uses a Limit, only their limit commands are listed and none for the Disney World-Exclusive ones:

300px-Trinity Limit KHRECOM by JJSliderman
  • Trinity Limit: Sora, Donald and Goofy combine their powers. Break has Sora and the others fly towards and unleash an extensive flurry of melee attacks on a single target before flying through them in a piercing thrust attack; Donald uses Ultima to generate an explosion of fireworks to hit and fling around all enemies drawn in (landing more hits the larger the enemy); Goofy uses Major Drive to fire a large spray of Drive Orbs in a cone, the player controlling the direction of the attack. Each of these special techniques can only be performed once during the Limit. The finishing move is Combo, in which all enemies float above the three as they put their weapons together and create a field of magical energy that damages all enemies based on the amount of hits dealt using the previous attacks, ending with a high-damaging burst.
Maxresdefault (1) by JJSliderman
  • Duck Flare - Activated by equipping the "Flare Force" ability. Donald summons forth a series of rockets that seek out targets/nearby enemies. The finishing move is Megaduck Flare, in which Donald rapidly barrages all targets with rockets, doing more damage to any individual enemy the less of them there are. While the Limit attack is active, Sora carries Donald with him on his head.
  • Comet - Activated by equipping the "Fantasia" ability. Donald attacks an enemy with blasts of magical energy, knocking them into the air. The finishing move is Comet Rain, in which after charging, Donald slams his staff downwards and calls forth a ring of energy explosions around him, damaging many enemies. While the Limit attack is active, Donald follows Sora around in a bubble of magical energy.
Maxresdefault (2) by JJSliderman
  • Whirli-Goof - Activated by equipping the "Tornado Fusion" ability. Goofy and Sora spin around back-to-back with their weapons extended to capture and damage enemies. The damage escalates to Whirli-Goofra, where Sora and Goofy join hands and spin with their legs extended, increasing the damage and range of the attack; Then the finisher, Whirli-Goofga, which allows them to roll around like a wheel via grabbing each other's feet, granting them mobility.
  • Knocksmash - Activated by equipping the "Teamwork" ability. Goofy tosses his shield in the air and Sora hits it with his Keyblade, like a baseball bat, towards enemies nearby several times. Eventually, Duo Raid allows them to throw their spinning weapons towards enemies at the same time, similar to the Strike Raid ability and with a motion similar to launching a bowling ball. The finisher, Cosmo Boost has Sora hold Goofy as smoke begins to jet from the latter's feet, eventually letting go of him and allowing him to fly around like a rocket, heavily damaging all enemies he hits.

Drive Forms are special transformations that Sora can access by sacrificing Donald, Goofy, both, or none of them that lets him specialize in a certain aspect of combat and overall increase his stats and abilities. Again, this is outside help, so use at your own discretion. Also uses a certain amount of Drive Gauge Energy, 3 for Valor and Wisdom, 4 for Limit and Master, and 5 for Final:

Valor Form by JJSliderman

Wisdom Form by JJSliderman

  • Limit Form: Sora reverts to his old appearance and is able to use all the most powerful abilities from his first adventure. It requires no party member sacrifices to activate, so it's the only form Sora can use on his own. The abilities it has are Dodge Roll MAX that allows Sora to dodge incredibly fast, Sonic Rave(A Limit Command that unleashes an attack on an enemy as Sora passes by), Ars Arcanum, Strike Raid, Zantetsuken, Infinity(A Limit Command that can be unleashed after an aerial combo), Ripple Drive, Hurricane Period(Unleashes a powerful finishing combo move consisting of an aerial barrage), Zantetsu Counter(Unleashes Zantetsuken by selecting Attack while guarding), Reflect Combo(Blocks enemy attacks with Guard during a counter), Guard, Slapshot, Sliding Dash, Aerial Sweep, Auto Limit, HP Gain(Restores Sora's HP when a Limit Command lands), Draw, Lucky Lucky(Will bring luck by increasing the drop rate of items. • Antiform: Randomly activates whenever Sora attempts to activate one of his other forms aside from Final Form, and the odds of it activating increase with every Form transition.
